This position supports a high-profile executive who needs an assistant with judgment, communications skills, and experience managing a top-level executive. Stay a step ahead of ever-changing priorities.
• Interact with the Hill and executive offices to schedule and coordinate meetings, lunches, and events
• Collaborate with high level officials and senior decision makers throughout the public, private, and nonprofit sectors
• Manage the schedule; plan and prepare for changes
• Coordinate large internal and external meetings and events
• Perform research and create binders to prepare the executive for meetings
• Attend meetings and take minutes
• Open and draft responses to emails and correspondence; prioritize invitations
• Acts as a liaison with other departments and outside member organizations
• Gather information from department heads to prepare for executive meetings
• Serve as the point of contact between the executives and internal or external colleagues
• Receiving visitors, arrange conference calls, schedule meetings, and taking notes at meetings
• Manage complex tasks requiring the use of independent judgment and initiative
QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience managing an executive
• Adept at developing relationships to facilitate the schedule and agenda of the executive
• Excellent oral and written communications skills
• Experience performing internet research and creating synopses
• Initiative and creativity
• Team-oriented and possessing strong people skills
• Microsoft Office skills
